How to do a "Whirlwind" travel tour!

Stage 1: Get up early, clean up, drop sleepsheet off at laundry chute on your way to continental breakfast.

Stage 2: Return to room for final packing, clear the hostel, and walk to train station. Buy fruit, pastries or baguette & cheese for lunch on the way.

Stage 3: Board the right train, put your backpack down, and look ahead at the map and guidebook for your next town. Write postcards and enjoy the scenery. Flip down the table, whip out your trusty bandana, and enjoy your lunch as the conductor checks your EurailPass.

Stage 4: Arrival at today's town around noon. Find luggage locker, store backpack, keep daypack or waistpack. Get cash from ATM if needed, check out tomorrow's train schedule, and buy ticket for today's tour, museum, or other big event. Afternoon tour.

Stage 5: Return to train station, get backpack, walk or taxi to pre-booked hostel at about 6 pm. Get to your room, shower, and wash your socks/ t-shirt/ underwear in the sink and hang out to dry above your bunk. 5 to 10-minute nap optional.

Stage 6: Rested and with clean clothes, stroll the boulevards and choose a cafe or restaurant. Eat a late supper and enjoy the evening. In bed by 11 pm to re-start the process.

The system works.
